The Department of English G.G.M. Science College organized a week long Lecture-Series on “Phonetics” to promote the linguistic and phonetics skills of the students. Dr. Ajeet Angral, Nodal Principal, Jammu Division Colleges, Chief Guest on the occasion, inaugurated the event. Prof. Ruth K. Masehi welcomed the Chief Guest, Resource person, Faculty members and the participants. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ajeet Angral, Principal of the institution congratulated the department for coming up with such a programme for the benefit of students and added that in this globalized era a professional cannot survive without learning and honing the skills of the language. He maintained that the students need to master Communication Skills viz. reading, writing, listening and speaking in order to become successful persons in this competitive world.All the faculty members of the department were present on the occasion. The proceedings of the event were conducted by Prof. Ruth K Masehi. Prof. Shalini Rana presented the vote of thanks.
